竹迳村属阳西县塘口镇，是镇内的行政村之一。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

竹迳行政村1949年11月设立，此前一月属阳江县六区，1953年划入十五区平西乡。1956年归塘口区，1958年5月入塘口乡；同年11月并入大跃进人民公社，12月改隶织篢人民公社。1959年组成竹迳生产大队，同年10月重归塘口人民公社。[2]

1967年改为竹迳革命委员会，1983年设竹迳乡，1987年2月设村委会，1988年归阳西县塘口镇。1989年改设管理区，1999年重设村委会。[2]

2021年12月，竹迳、白石头、罗皮坑三村入选「2021年度阳江市卫生村」；2022年1月，竹迳村获广东省乡村振兴局确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2023年10月，横山寨村、大坝村入选「2023年度阳江市卫生村」；2023年11月，本村入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村。[1]
