程村位于阳西县程村镇，城乡分类上属镇乡结合区。村名与程村社区相同，据说最早是一户程姓人家在此设铺经商。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年11月成立民主行政村，归阳江县六区。1953年划入阳江县十二区程中乡，1956年归程村区，1958年5月隶属程村乡。同年11月并入大跃进人民公社，12月改属织篢人民公社，1959年10月转入程村人民公社。[2]

1959年设民主生产大队，1967年起由民主革命委员会管理，1980年再称民主生产大队管委会，1983年起设民主乡。1987年2月组建程村村委会，1989年改为程村管理区，1999年9月恢复程村村委会，名称未再改动。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年度「阳江市卫生村」名单中，袁屋角村、南庄村、新村、上庙村、叶家寨村名列其中（2021年12月确定）。2019年9月，程村村列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单。[1]
