平东村是广东省阳江市江城区平冈镇下辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区。村名的由来是：村子位于旧平冈镇政府驻地的东面。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1959年这里设平冈大队，1984年改设平东乡；1987年2月起为平东村委会，其后又一度改为管理区，1999年复设村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，平东村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2023年4月，平东村入选「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
