平冈镇是广东省阳江市江城区下辖的镇，位于江城区西部，镇中心区在平冈圩社区。镇域东接埠场镇，西与阳西县程村镇为邻，南临南海，有海陵大堤与海陵岛相连。[1][3]

两家资料对面积和人口的记载不一：百度百科记面积213平方千米，2019年末户籍人口106629人；博雅地名网记面积约180.14平方千米，人口约9.25万人，未注年份。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

「平冈」之名的来历有两种说法：博雅地名网说，因圩址建在山冈地势平坦处而得名平冈圩；百度百科则说取「无山压顶」之意。[1][3] 明清两代，这一带归太平乡管辖，分在端逢、那贡、那罗几个都的一图之内。清末的1908年，这里已属阳江县第四区。[2]

1956年12月这里改成平冈区。1958年经历东风公社与平冈公社的更替；1975年，埠场从中划出另设公社。1983年11月又恢复平冈区的建制，至1987年2月撤区，改设镇。[2]

阳江于1988年撤县建市，平冈当时划入阳东区。1990年它改隶江城区，1994年曾归阳江港管理，1995年11月回到江城区。2008年8月起，阳江高新技术产业开发区代管此镇，区、镇、港三者合为一体管理。[2][3]

博雅地名网把平冈镇列在滨海新区（高新区）之下，百度百科则称它是江城区的辖镇，两家对隶属的写法不同。[1][3]

平冈镇辖平冈圩社区和22个行政村。百度百科记2021年10月时辖2个社区、22个行政村；博雅地名网只列1个社区，两家对社区数的记载相差一个。[1][3][4]

平冈圩社区是镇中心区，2002年由平冈圩居委会改设为社区居委会。[5]

北部地势较高，南部较低，地面开阔平缓；镇域西南部设有阳江港的码头。[1]

北面的邻接地，百度百科说是白沙街道，博雅地名网则写作阳东县白沙镇。[1][3]

经济[edit]

农业发达，水产养殖发展较快，水产品加工、皮革、铁木器和运输业也有发展。[1]

据百度百科，2019年全镇工业企业共155家，规模以上的为41家；营业面积超过50平方米的综合商店或超市有3个。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2020年9月，平冈镇被列入阿里研究院发布的淘宝镇名单。平冈镇也见于南京大学空间规划研究中心与阿里研究院于2021年10月联合发布的名单。2022年10月，「2022年淘宝镇」名单公布，平冈镇位列其中。[1]

平冈镇以水产养殖项目入选第三批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业镇，名单由广东省农业农村厅在2021年9月公布。2025年5月，平冈镇入选广东「百千万工程」第二批专业镇建设名单。[1]
