2020年9月，阿里研究院公布的2020年淘宝村名单中有麻演村。[1]2021年淘宝村名单南京大学空间规划研究中心与阿里研究院发布，麻演村列入其中，该名单公布于2021年10月。[1]广东省乡村振兴局在2022年1月明确，麻演村属「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」的创建单位。[1]同年10月发布的淘宝村名单（2022年）也收录了麻演村。[1]2023年11月，麻演村入选「广东百千万工程首批典型县镇村」。[1]
