永新村是东源县黄村镇下辖的行政村，村名寓意一个永远焕然一新的面貌。[1] 村内的文秀塘是1940年代中共东江后方特委的驻地，《星火报》旧址与文秀塘会议旧址都在这里。[2]

革命旧址[edit]

1945年2月，中共东江后方特委在文秀塘地塘头召开委员会会议，调整了特委领导成员，决定恢复组织生活、开展武装斗争，并创办《星火报》。会议旧址为一幢上三下三层的客家民居，面积约350平方米，泥砖墙、瓦面，大部分墙体基本完好。[2]

文秀塘中共后东特委驻地旧址也在村内，属第四批河源市文物保护单位，博雅地名网称其年代为清初，为近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑。[2]
