琏石村隶属东源县叶潭镇，是镇下辖的一个行政村。村名的来历是村周山峰相连，山上石头较多，「连」与「琏」读音相同，故取名琏石。[1]

2019年10月，村庄列入「2019年广东省卫生村」名录；同年9月，又被收入2018年民主法治示范村创建名单。2026年3月，本村获评省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年此地归第九区（黄村）的琏石乡，1957年为叶潭乡的琏石小乡，1958年改称琏石大队，1983年设琏石乡，1987年改为琏石管理区。1999年，东源县政府同意设立琏石村委会，此名延续至今。[1]
