儒輋村隶属东源县叶潭镇，是镇下辖的一个行政村。县现行区划表写作「儒輋」，博雅地名网则写作「儒斜」。[1][2]
村名的缘由，博雅地名网的解释是：先辈希望后代子孙都能成为学问渊博的人，于是取一个带「儒」字的名称，「儒」即博学多闻之人。[1]
2024年3月，村庄获评「2023年广东省卫生村」；2019年9月，又进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的名录。[1]
