赤江村隶属东源县柳城镇，村中原由赤坪、江背两个较大的生产队组成，村名各取其中一字。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
赤江村1958年为大队，1983年改设乡，1987年为管理区，1998年设村委会，1999年由东源县政府批准正式成立，沿用至今。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年10月，赤江村列入「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。2019年9月，赤江村在广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单中列名。[1]
