柳城社区坐落在柳城镇的镇中心区，与镇内9个行政村相邻。社区名称取自驻地所在的柳城自然村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1986年，柳城街道管理委员会成立；1993年，东源县政府批准成立柳城居委会，此后沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年10月，柳城社区列入「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。[1]

规划[edit]

柳城镇圩镇详细规划草案的规划区占地约267.37公顷，范围由柳城社区、围星村、赤江村等合成1居6村；据草案，区内现有居民2300余人。[3]
