村名的来历，据博雅地名网，是此地位于两条形似龙的山脉之间。[1]

1958年为红卫大队，1983年设二龙岗乡，1987年为二龙岗管理区，1999年经县政府批准改设二龙岗村委会，此后沿用。[1]

经济[edit]

镇概况提到村内出产的奇演布朗李，并把它列为「十大农业开发基地」之一。[2]

文化[edit]

2019年10月，二龙岗村列入广东省卫生村名录（2019年度）。2026年3月，该村获认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
