北联村是热水镇下辖的行政村，辖区内有33个建于清代以前的自然村。[1]

村名的来历是：土地改革期间，北联与联丰合设一个小乡，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1948年以前，这一带设分会所管辖各个小乡，北联是其中一个小乡。1951年，所在的区分为六个小村组。1955年和1956年，北联与马村、叶村先后组建了初级社和高级社。[2]

1958年人民公社成立，两个高级社合并为北联生产大队。1960年，北联与联丰各成独立生产队。1967年改设大队革命委员会，1970年撤销后改为生产大队。1980年改为大队管理区，1983年划入热水乡人民政府下的北联管理区。1999年设立北联村村民委员会，沿用至今。[2]

文化[edit]

村内保存有客家民俗文化和古建筑，古建筑带有鲜明的地方特色。北联村同时是革命老区。[1]

北联村于2016年10月被收入第五批广东省古村落名单，2019年6月列入第五批中国传统村落名录。[1]

2019年9月，北联村获评广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位。2025年5月，北联村获评2022年度和平县文明村镇。2023年5月，广东省爱卫会把2022年广东省卫生村称号授予北联村。[1]
