马塘村位于彭寨镇境内，为和平县的一个行政村，与五星社区、土厘村、大塘面社区、兴隆村等相邻。村名来历据称是解放前有一群马在村前池塘饮水歇息。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年以前，土厘、兴隆、马塘三村同属马塘乡；1959年马塘乡改为马塘大队。1999年，该地正式设立为村民委员会。[2]

文化[edit]

2026年1月，马塘村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
