西南村位于连平县高莞镇，原为高陂大队。高陂大队人口增多后分成三个管理区，此村处在原大队的西南方，遂得名西南村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

西南大队出现于1978年；1983年起为西南乡；1988年转为管理区办事处；1999年才组建村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，西南村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

西南村以柑桔入选第二批「广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」，名单由省农业农村厅于2021年9月公布。[1]

西南村获「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号，授予者为广东省爱卫会，时间是2021年12月。[1]
