忠信镇是广东省河源市连平县下辖的镇，位于连平县南部，处在灯塔盆地北端。全镇下辖5个城镇社区和12个行政村。县政府网站称，忠信镇是粤赣边区的商贸文化重镇，当地人称之为「河源第一镇」。镇内的忠信花灯2011年列入第三批国家级非物质文化遗产名录，镇域还有柘陂华南小学党组织活动旧址、连平合水塔等红色和历史遗迹。[1][4]

镇域位于粤北九连山南麓与灯塔盆地北缘的交界处，地形平缓，田地肥美，当地称之为「忠信小平原」。粤赣高速、汕昆高速和国道358线纵横境内。县政府网站称全镇总面积151平方公里，耕地面积1492公顷，建成区面积5.2平方公里。[1]

维基百科称忠信镇北邻高莞镇，东与三角镇相连，西边为油溪镇，南面与东源县顺天镇相接。[3]

人口民族[edit]

据博雅地名网，第七次全国人口普查结果显示忠信镇人口为5.29万人，该数字于2021年6月公布。县政府网站2026年的数字为户籍人口5.9万人，常住人口7.3万人，含流动人口在内近10万人。百度百科另载2019年末户籍人口为53607人。[1][2][4]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武四年（1371年）在此设置忠信巡司，隶属河源县。博雅地名网记有一则传说：明代当地人对朝廷忠厚守信，朝廷因此嘉许，地名便定为忠信。[4]

新中国成立后设忠信镇，镇区以外的地方属忠信区。1968年起隶属忠信公社，1976年镇建制得以恢复。1986年11月忠信区被撤销并入忠信镇，此事经广东省人民政府批准。[4]

2014年7月，忠信镇被确定为「全国重点镇」。2023年11月，镇域入选「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」。2024年4月，忠信镇列入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范镇」创建名单。2026年5月，忠信镇名列「广东省第一批开展现代化建设的中心镇」。[4]

忠信镇是周边农副产品的商贸集散地，县政府网站称其辐射半径在30公里以上，辐射人口超过30万人。县政府网站载，镇内有在册经营主体逾6000户，规上及限上企业有14家，年商品成交额超过20亿元。[1]

镇上的火蒜、花生、萝卜爽和客家娘酒，被县政府网站称为「忠信四宝」。[1]

2019年，恒大集团拨付3亿元扶贫资金，用以在忠信镇兴建农业生态产业园。园区划为新农村区、现代农业产业园区与生态旅游观光园区三块。[5]

文化[edit]

忠信花灯是以红色为主调的民间灯彩，多用竹编骨架，花灯结构有四角、六角、八角等形式。据百度百科，它大致形成于宋末元初，明清两代最为兴盛，主要分布于忠信镇。[7]

忠信花灯于2006年5月被收入「广东省第一批非物质文化遗产代表作名录」，2011年5月又入选「第三批国家级非物质文化遗产名录」。同年5月，忠信镇被评为「广东省民间文化（客家花灯）艺术之乡」。[1][7]

镇政府自1999年起连续举办花灯节，2015年投资150万元建成忠信花灯博物馆。[1]

据博雅地名网，2013年忠信地区被文化部评为春节文化特色地区。[5]

名胜古迹[edit]

连平合水塔位于柘陂村塔岭山上。塔为明代所建，平面六角，共七层，楼阁式结构，塔高约22米。1985年经连平县人民政府公布；2015年12月10日，经广东省人民政府批准，列为「第八批广东省文物保护单位」。[6]

牛栏坑遗址位于忠信镇小拓村一带，年代属战国时期，遗存分布面积约1000平方米。出土物以陶瓮、陶罐为多，另有石铲和石杵这类农具。1986年，连平县人民政府把该遗址纳入保护名录。[6][8]

忠信福兴桥又称石塘水桥，横跨忠信河，博雅地名网称其全长66米、宽6.6米，以麻石条砌筑，曾是惠州府规模最大的石桥。[6]

柘陂华南小学党组织活动旧址，原为吴氏祖祠，1930年建成，1931年在此开办华南小学。该校2011年6月被列为河源市第四批「市级爱国主义教育基地」。[1][6]

忠信中学党组织活动旧址。忠信中学1940年7月创办，前身是连平县第四区的区立小学。2011年，该旧址被列为县级保护文物。[1][6]

1949年5月，连和县与九连地委决定拔除忠信据点，解放忠信圩镇。5月26日拂晓，部队按既定方案进入圩镇。[6]

著名人物[edit]

吴建昌（1924–1948），柘陂村人。1941年他在柘陂华南小学读书期间投身抗日救亡宣传，年底入党。1945年秋入读连平中学，担任学生党小组的负责人。柘陂村塔岭山半山腰立有吴建昌烈士纪念碑。[6]

赖刚（1903–1974），字耿夫，忠信上堂人，毕业于黄埔军校第二期。1920年代，他投身第一、二次东征及北伐。[4]
