大东村是油溪镇下辖的行政村，村名由两个地名各取一字合成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1979年以前，大东与大富同属大富大队，地处东坑口附近。分开后，从大富取「大」字、从东坑口取「东」字，定名大东。该村1983年设乡，1988年改为管理区，1998年以后成为村民委员会。[1]

2019年9月，大东村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；河源市文明委在2021年1月把「2020年度河源市文明村」的称号授予大东村；2023年4月，大东村进入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建名单；大东村于2024年3月获评「2023年广东省卫生村」；2026年1月，大东村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]

经济[edit]

富乐、大东、茶新三村一起注资，设立了「连平县油溪镇新大富运输有限公司」，经营校车运营和道路旅客运输，预计每年可为三村集体经济增收10万元。[2]
