软坑村是广东省河源市连平县溪山镇下辖的行政村，城乡分类为村庄。村名沿用旧时的「软坑街」之名，那里曾是水路的终点集市。[1]

名称由来[edit]

旧时新丰江可以逆流而上，经隆街来的商船能抵达软坑，这里是水路行船的最后一站，商贾聚集，逐渐成为街市。连平河水在此弯曲流过，与苦竹坑、石坑水汇为一处，水多弯折，小溪又多而长，因此取名「软坑街」，村名沿用此名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后，这里设软坑村。1958年，本村并入百高，组成软坑大队；1976年两地分开，又同归溪山公社管辖。1984年成为软坑管理区，1999年撤去管理区建制，改设软坑村民委员会。[1]

广东省爱卫会于2023年5月认定本村为2022年广东省卫生村；河源市文明委在2021年1月授予「2020年度河源市文明村」；2026年1月，本村又获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]

文化[edit]

智毙“大炮焰”战斗遗址位于老软坑街，现为软坑小学一带。1948年12月，连南游击队飞虎队在软坑圩击毙了国民党软坑乡联防队队长叶盛焰。[2]
