地名由来[edit]

莞中村位于全镇中心，镇政府驻此，村名因此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年解放后编为莞中乡，1953年进行土地改革，1954年组织联合互助组，1956年设初级社，1957年转为高级社，1958年并入人民公社，1959年改设莞中生产大队。1987年4月设管理区；1998年5月管理区取消，改设莞中村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
