地名由来[edit]

1952年分设小乡，其中一个小乡称新川乡，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这里1952年为小乡，1957年秋改管理区，1958年改大队；1984年春大队改为乡人民政府，1987年改设村委会，1989年又为管理区，1999年定为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予本村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]

2019年9月，本村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
