地名由来[edit]
这里原叫「榴村」，村子在其下方，外形像石榴，因而改称下榴。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清朝年间已称下榴。1952年隶属新都乡，1958年自新都乡析出，改为大队并更名下榴。1984年12月，大队改为乡政府；1987年起称村委会，1989年一度改为管理区，1999年重新设立村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予本村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
村容[edit]
村内修建了灯光球场、文体广场、太阳能路灯与小公园，通村道路为五米宽的水泥路。[2]
