地名由来[edit]

1952年分设小乡时，其中一个小乡取名「新四乡」，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子经历了几次改制：1952年为小乡，1957年秋改为管理区，次年改为大队。1983年4月设乡人民政府，1986年为村委会，1989年又为管理区，1999年定为村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

新四村是省定贫困村，2020年随新龙村一同出列。[2]

村内一家种养农民专业合作社的柑橘项目，列入了「一村一品」项目。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，本村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
