福光村是四都镇下辖的行政村，属村庄类型，位于镇域内，与新龙村、四都村、新四村及四都社区相邻。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子旧称「扑船光」，因东北面有一处形似底朝上船只的地形而得名。后来觉得这个名字不雅，改为「长福光」，1964年春并入四都公社设大队时去掉「长」字，定名福光。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立前，本地称「扑船光」；新中国成立后划归丰稔的丰联，改称「长福光」。1964年春，村子并入四都公社，设立大队。1984年4月，大队改为乡人民政府；1987年春撤乡后改设村委会。1989年10月起称管理区，1999年再度设为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年4月，本村获评2020年度龙川县文明村镇。[1]

近年建设[edit]

「东江水韵」乡村振兴示范带串联本村与四都村、新龙村，示范带全长约15公里。[3]

2025年镇工作计划提出，要确保福光村的东江航运文化馆等项目建成。[2]
