地名由来[edit]

村名与镇名相同，由来见四都镇条目。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后，本村经历过村政府、小乡与管理区等不同建制。1958年成为大队，1983年12月起称乡人民政府；1987年转为村委会，两年后又成为管理区，到1999年才恢复村委会的建制，并一直延续至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，本村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；同年10月，入选2019年广东省卫生村名录。[1]

2026年1月，本村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]

近年建设[edit]

「东江水韵」乡村振兴示范带以丰稔镇丰联村为起点，全长约15公里，沿东江延伸至四都村，使本村成为示范带的终点一段。[2][4]
