义都社区位于龙川县义都镇的中心，居民委员会与镇政府同在一处，社区名称由此而来，在城乡划分上归镇中心区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

义都社区设立于2005年，此后名称与建制未变。[1] 镇政府驻地义都圩的得名，相传可追溯到秦代赵佗任龙川县令、在此设“第二都”一事。[2]
