水墩村是紫金县水墩镇的一个行政村，位于镇中心。村名与水墩圩同源：黄田水和秋溪水在圩旁合流，河里有一块石墩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村的前身是水墩大队，起初隶龙窝公社（1958年），三年后随水墩公社另立。其后先后称水墩乡、村委会、管理区，直到1999年管理区撤销、村委会重设，沿用至今；圩镇部分同年划出，另组社区居委会。[1]
