梧峰村属临江镇，原名梧桐，梧桐树多是缘由；解放后，村人以梧桐村海拔最高的尖峰为名，改称梧峰。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国十八年（1929年）已有梧桐乡，隶第二区；1952年5月改设梧峰乡，属第十区，1957年12月并入临江乡。1958年10月公社化，立梧峰生产大队，归柏埔公社，1961年4月起归临江公社。八十年代起，1983年改称乡，1987年改称村委会，1989年一度叫管理区，1999年重新成立村委会，沿用至今。[1]
