郊田村属紫金县上义镇，是镇辖行政村。村名与明初蓝塘镇石城村的城池有关，原称李郊田。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代初年，蓝塘镇的石城村筑起城池，此村位于石城近郊，又以李姓最先立村，起名李郊田，后简称郊田。[1]

郊田大队原不属上义：1958年和1961年隶石城公社，1963年隶蓝塘公社，到1973年才划入上义公社。1983年成为上义区郊田乡；1987年改村委会，1989年改管理区，1999年又设村委会，现仍沿用。[1]

经济[edit]

郊田村以茶叶入选2021年9月公布的广东省第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。[1]
