招元村是紫金县上义镇辖下的行政村。旧名蕉园，后因客家话读音相近改写为现名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

相传古时村里有一处香蕉园，故名蕉园；客家话里「蕉」与「招」、「园」与「元」音近，后来便写成招元。[1]

人民公社时期，招元大队在好义公社与上义公社之间来回划转：1958年属好义，1961年属上义，1963年归好义，1973年又归上义。1983年改为上义区招元乡，其后依次称村委会（1987年）、管理区（1989年）；1999年再设村委会，一直沿用。[1]

经济[edit]

招元村以花生油列入2021年9月公布的广东省第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

河源市文明委于2021年1月授予它「2020年度河源市文明村」称号；2026年1月，它又被评为广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
