历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网称，王姓先祖于1511年自福建省蒲田县后沟乡迁来建村。[2]1957年以前，它隶属潭西区的铁广乡。[2]
1958年至1966年秋，它属炎龙公社钱溪大队；1966年冬划归上英公社钱溪大队。1973年，草洋从玄溪大队分出，单独设大队。[2]
1988年设草洋管理区，1999年改为草洋村委会。[2]
上文所说1973年分出的方向，与钱广、玄溪两村博雅页所写不同，三页说法未能统一。[2][4]
文化[edit]
上英独角麒麟舞在改革开放后得以恢复，草洋村村民自发组建了几支舞麒麟队伍，多次应邀外出参加民间艺术表演和巡游。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月，广东省爱卫会授予草洋村「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[2]
