新埔村是陆丰市潭西镇西南的行政村，与海丰县赤坑镇接界，面积约10平方千米，辖2个自然村、6个村民小组，据博雅地名网总人口约2457人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明嘉靖年间之后，后埔村的村民从长安村的安美迁来建村。1949年立乡，1961年设大队，当时与现属星都辖区的赤箖、下许、下陈、庄厝围合在一个新围大队。[1]
1975年之后，该大队改称新埔大队；1988年称管理区，1999年又改作村委会。[1]
经济与荣誉[edit]
村以农业为主，沿河的低洼地被挖成鱼池养殖水产，集体收入由此增加。[1]
2020年12月，获「2020年广东省卫生村」称号；2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局把该村确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
