西美村在行政上归广东省汕尾市陆丰市南塘镇管辖，是镇内24个行政村委会之一[1]。2024年3月，村名列入「2023年广东省卫生村」之列[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1952年设西美乡，归第五区（南塘区）；1959年成为西美大队，隶南塘公社；1983年重新称乡，属南塘镇；1987年设村民委员会，1994年改称管理区，1999年又改回村委会之名，沿用至今。[1]
