博雅地名网载，全村604户、3375人，居住分散，土地零星分在邻近各村，管理不易；村里引进工艺品和圣诞用品工厂办村办厂，并出租店铺增加集体收入。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后为第六区（碣石区）的城郊小乡；1958年并入碣石公社的城郊大队；1965年该大队一分为二，成为南城、北城两个大队，这里是南城大队。1983年称南城农管区，1987年设村委会，1994年称管理区，1999年又为村委会，沿用至今。[1]
