后坑村在陆丰市西北部，是河西街道较大的行政村，面积约12平方公里，下辖6个村小组，博雅地名网载总人口5000多人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

相传明崇祯年间，蔡姓人家从甲西的博社迁来此地。建国之初设后坑乡，归第二区（潭西区）；1956年并入河西大乡，该乡的乡府就在后坑。1960年设后坑生产大队，1969年由潭西公社划归河西公社，1974年兴建后洋电排站。1983年改乡，1987年改村委会，1994年称管理区，1999年改回村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村里在山上种速生桉，水田种水稻和花生，另有鱼塘养殖，塘基上养瘦肉型猪，并种植番薯作淀粉原料。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予“2021年广东省卫生村”称号。[1]
