香校村在广汕公路边、螺河西岸，国道与深汕高速公路穿过村境，是河西街道办事处所在的城区一带。[1]博雅地名网载其城区面积1.5平方公里，总人口2.3万人，近年在开发滨江花城项目。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后香校属湖口乡，1961年纳入湖口生产大队。1968年湖田大队从湖口大队分出时，香校改属湖田大队。1983年再从湖田划出，设香校乡，属河西区；1987年改村委会，1994年称管理区，1999年重新称村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，该村被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
