麻地村是陆河县新田镇东南部的行政村，与新田圩隔河相望，距镇政府约1公里，辖麻地、背眉滩、宗滩3个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明万历年间（1573—1620年）刘姓迁到麻地建村，后又分迁眉滩、中滩立村。[2] 麻地原属新田大队，因村落分散，1974年划出自成大队；1986年称麻地村委会，1999年起称麻地村民委员会。[2]

地理与经济[edit]

村地处丘陵，河水穿村而过，总面积1.6平方千米，其中农田约500亩、林地约2300亩。[1] 潮惠高速公路从村中横穿，并设有陆河服务区。[1] 镇政府2022年发布的村情页载有468户、2800人，常住约1750人，外出流动人口980多人。[1] 博雅地名网记村内引进了纺织等2家企业。[2]
