据博雅地名网，这里盛产腐竹，取谐音作「富祝」，是个美称。[1]

1949年建国初为富祝村农会，1950至1957年改称大队；1963年起设富祝乡，至1986年；此后叫管理区，1999年定为村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2017年10月，该村进入广东省第一批卫生村的名单。[1]
  • 广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的名单于2019年9月公布，该村在列。[1]
