建新村在梅州市兴宁市叶塘镇境内，是镇属的行政村。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，赤墩、鸭塘、钟屋角、下桥等聚居点于1962年脱离留桥村委会，合成一个新村，定名建新。[1]

1949年为建新村农会，1950至1957年称大队，1963至1986年设建新乡，1986年后叫管理区，1999年改称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
