大众村在梅州市兴宁市叶塘镇境内，是镇属的行政村。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村名取「众望所归」之意。[1]

1949年为大众村农会，1950至1957年称大队，1963至1986年设大众乡，1986年后叫管理区，1999年改称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 广东省爱卫会在2021年12月评定该村为当年的广东省卫生村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

报福寺在村内前丰，始建于明嘉靖二十七年（1548年），今为兴宁市文物保护单位。据百度百科，抗日战争时期广州文理学院曾迁到寺里作临时校址；新中国成立后，寺改作叶塘中心小学。[2][3]
