名称与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，过去一条石块砌成的大路从村中穿过，通往叶南，村名取自这条路旁的下方一带。[1]

1952至1962年，彭陂、下洋、大路三地合为大联乡；1962至1976年下洋与大路合为大路大队；1978年大路单独设队，1981年起为管理区；1984至1987年下洋、大路又合设大路下乡政府；1988年分出，立大路下村；1999年改为村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2026年3月，广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇认定，该村入选。[1]
  • 广东省爱卫会在2021年12月评定该村为当年的广东省卫生村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

莲塘背肖屋在村内莲塘背，建于清代，据博雅地名网为兴宁市县级文物保护单位。[2]
