兰塘寨村在兴宁市大坪镇，村名合取兰塘与将军塘各一字，由余氏祖先在清乾隆年间所起。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

清乾隆十八年（1753年），余氏祖先从将军塘迁到此地。为纪念先辈，把原居地与新居地的地名各取一字，合成兰塘寨。[1]

1984年至1987年为兰塘寨乡，1987年4月改称兰塘寨村，1989年9月设管理区，1999年4月恢复村的名称，称兰塘寨村委会。[1]
