夜明村属兴宁市永和镇，位于山谷之中，相传当地银矿丰富，夜里会发光，因此叫夜明。[1]

建置沿革[edit]

夜明村与铁马合并后形成：铁马原为大队（1958年至1983年）、乡（1984年）、村委会（1986年）和管理区办事处（1990年），至1999年并入后统称夜明村委会。[1]
