崇新村属兴宁市永和镇。建国初期，从松坪村、龙颈村的崇本小学和聚星小学各取一字，先成“崇星”，后写作“崇新”。[1]
建置沿革[edit]
崇新曾是村农会（1949年）、大队（1950年至1957年）、乡（1963年至1986年）和管理区，1999年改为村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月公布的2018年度名单上，该村为「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
