永星村属兴宁市永和镇，前身是1958年成立的“永新大队”，范围由石古寺与大池窝合并而成；因同区内有重名，“新”改谐音“星”，名为永星。[1]

建置沿革[edit]

1949年前属永宁乡。1958年新设大队时定名永新，地名普查中改作永星，1999年起为永星村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月公布的2018年度名单上，该村为「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]2023年4月公布的名单中，该村入选2022年度「广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
