儒地村在平远县中行镇，位于中行圩西面约5千米，下设7个村民小组。[1]
地名由来[edit]
据当地说法，最早来此立村的人看中这里的风水，认为会出读书人，便取名“儒地”。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
全村268户、1078人，总面积8.56平方千米，耕地965亩，种西瓜、甜玉米、李和柿，上一年农村经济总收入730万元。村子是中行镇两个贫困村之一，在扶贫“双到”中，许多贫困户在帮扶单位支持下，向广东宏太、梅州金穗等公司供应订单农产品；2008年，鑫和瓷土矿业有限公司落户，从事瓷土深加工。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
儒地水口桥是明代所建的古桥，在中行镇境内；梅州市人民政府2017年3月24日将其列入第五批市级文物保护单位。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年立儒地乡，其后依次改称生产大队（1958年）、乡（1983年）；1987年起设村民委员会，1989年一度叫管理区，1999年恢复村民委员会之名，沿用至今。[2]
