长埂最初是公社化时的大队，1984年区乡制下改称管理区，1999年起设村委会[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，全村在册165户、769人，总面积13平方千米，耕地570亩；种植的经济作物主要是仙人草、绿茶，特色收入来源为仙人草、茶叶，上一年农村经济总收入348万元[1]。
