历史沿革[edit]

此地旧时生长不少茅草，大队成立时以主村“茅园”为名。[1]1949年隶三友乡，解放后另称茅园乡，1961年编为埔寨公社茅园大队，之后又经乡、管理区两次更名，至1999年成为茅园村委会。[1]

人口经济[edit]

村辖6个村民小组，在册845户，人口4412人，面积9.46平方公里，耕地2100亩。[1]种水稻、青榄、龙眼、甜玉米，并养鸡、猪、牛、兔；近年着力发展养殖业和甜玉米种植。[1]
