埔南村位于埔寨镇中部，在镇政府驻地东南约0.5千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

埔南位于埔寨镇的南面，村名由此而来。[1]建国初期它是汤南区下的埔南乡，1958年同埔北乡合为埔寨乡；公社化后成为埔寨公社的埔南大队，80年代先后改回乡、改为管理区，到1999年定名埔南村委会。[1]

人口经济[edit]

村辖9个村民小组，共1676户、10201人，总面积17平方公里，耕地6200亩。[1][2]种植水稻、青枣、龙眼、桔子，并养鸡、养鱼、养猪；青枣是当地特色，丰顺县五昌种养专业合作社的青枣园获“全国特质产品”牌匾。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

2013年8月，埔南村列入第二批中国传统村落名录；[1]村里流传埔寨火龙等民俗。[2]2019年9月，村又进入广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单。[1]
