历史沿革[edit]
古时当地建有扶山寺，村落在寺外，故名扶外。[1]据博雅地名网，新中国成立前属程乡县扶贵车上堡，后与车上大队分开，曾成立新联大队，称联和村，再成立扶外村；1999年称扶外村委会。[1]
著名人物[edit]
夏万秋（1882年至1936年）生于马来西亚，祖籍梅县程江扶外村夏屋，早年在怡保为侨商做事，后开发锡矿。1925年回乡建万秋楼，该楼由外国建筑师设计，在围龙屋格局上加入西式细节。[2]
