凤尾社区在梅州江南西部，东为梅江二路，西为梅新路，南到嘉应路，北到实验路，总面积0.3平方公里。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据社区介绍，此地以前种有一棵高大的凤尾树，因此称为凤尾。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年这里属梅江大队辖区，后划入路心管理区；人口增加后，从路心居委会划出地段，1987年7月1日在那里成立凤尾居民委员会，至2001年11月又成立社区居委会，沿用至今。[1]
