地名由来[edit]
社区在梅江以南，故名梅南。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年这里属梅江大队，1982年以前归东山居委；1988年后设梅南居民委员会，2001年设梅南社区居民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
辖区概况[edit]
常住3000多户、7800多人，下设8个居民小组，8个生活小区；省、市、区直属单位17个设在辖区内。社区获「全省民主法治示范社区」「广东省文明社区」等称号。[1][2]
